    As a staff of Battlescape, our job is to moderate the users making sure they follow the rules and have an enjoyable time at Battlescape. While we do not have to help players or answer questions we sometimes will do this. However, we are players just as much as you and we want to play the game. So, if a moderator ignores you; tough luck. Post on the forums.

    Now, onto the matter at hand...

    Scamming. Almost everywhere I go I see people complain about how they got scammed. Premium, item, or account. Most of the time it's the players fault for being very dumb or trustworthy of random strangers. Seeing as it's my job to try to help players enjoy the game I have to write up a short guide on how not to be completely stupid and not to get scammed.

    • ALWAYS check the second trade screen. If the player is legit it shouldn't bother them. Double check that all the money/items are there.

    • If a player is spamming a website, regardless of WHAT it's for; report them. If the site advertises 'cheap battlescape gold' - and you purchase it you WILL be banned (and possibly scammed in the process). If it offers runescape accounts for battlescape cash; and you purchase it; you WILL be banned (and again possibly scammed in the process). If it offers some sort of 'Free moderator/staff/gold' and you go to it you'll think "This looks just like battlescapes homepage I'll just sign in". Don't, EVER, do this. If the top URL doesn't say "www.palidino.com' then do NOT log into it with your Battlescape info. THIS IS A PHISHING/SCAMMING SITE.

    • If a player is offering you premium in-game that's great but don't be so trustworthy. Try to find a staff member that can middleman. If you cannot find one, then click HERE . This will direct you to our 'Gold Membership' section where you can find players that have sold gold membership before without problems.

    • Remember: Just because they're selling the gold membership cheap does NOT mean they're legit! Don't trust them because of high combat stats or wealth. They could have easily gained their money scamming!

    • If a player does anything similar to "If you trust me with XXX, I'll give you YYY". Don't do it. You WILL be scammed. Don't be stupid and fall for scams like this.

    • In general don't be an idiotic player. I understand a large amount of our players are very, very young. If not young, they're stupid. So to make the game more enjoyable if you see someone about to get scammed help them out. Tell them it's probably/is a scam. Accusing a player isn't always a bad thing. That DOES NOT mean go reporting because you THINK they scam. If you do not have evidence against them and report a player you WILL be infracted/banned for wasting our time.

      That's a great way to keep people playing battlescape. Think before you post something like this. You just called the majority of the people on battlescape idiots, real smart there bud. This is a great example of why Pally needs to make better decisions on staff.

      Yes it is obvious, but that's not the point. He is one of the staff members on this server. His job isn't to flame people playing for their age or intelligence. This thread is completely based off a flame. The fact that you are a moderator and post something like this shows you don't deserve your position. You are a moderator to help keep the game under control and keep people following the rules. Not to flame them. Do your job and quit crying.

      "DONT GET SCAMMED"
      "DONT BUY GOLD MEMBERSHIP IN THAT AND THAT PLACE"
      Etc.
      it means that more and more ppl are trying to "broke" the security and trust to the staffs.

      nice tips ty 4 it i was scammed by fury pretty stupid no1 wanna buy and some1 say buy fury 2m tht was same guy who tried to scam with d bones he said buy d bones 100k ea and if u sell 10 he put only 100k and not 1000k his name is monkey niceness

      jake 2 days ago i got scamed my user is max3d 0ut pur3 this rich girl i told her i will give u all my stuff for ags and she said ok u give first then ill go on my other acc with the ags and ill give it to u and u trusted her and did it and she never give me nothing she took my bgs dfs and bout 20m worth of other items her user is {obsese in bs} and her other acc she scammed me with is {obsese in rs} plzz bann her or give me my stuff back plzzz thank you.
