Our duties as Player Moderators to deal with Player Reports primarily regarding:
- Offensive/Inappropriate Language, Swearing, Censor Evading and Flaming
- Spamming
- Flaming
- Trolling
- Inappropriate Content
- Links to Other Communities and Referral Links
- Staff Impersonation
- Real World Trading
- Personal Information
- Foreign Language
- Macroing
We deal with these forms of Player Reports, and these only. We also make sure that the ingame environment is safe and enjoyable to everyone. Any other Player Reports we receive are sent to our Senior Moderators to deal with. These include:
- Denial Of Service Attacks (DOS/DDOS)
- Account Sharing
- Scamming
- Bug Abuse
Our Forum Moderators are to pursue the Forums and to keep them clean, and fun for everyone. A Forum Moderator cannot help you with account related issues, etc. Please do not ask them, as it only frustrates them as constantly needing to redirect Players to a different part of our Staff Team.
I'd like to say that the only members of Staff that can deal with an account being hacked, would be the Administrators. Seeing as they're limited in numbers, it is hard for them to deal with the large amount of them coming in. You need patience in that field, as they will be getting done eventually. It is the summer, and the Administrators as well as you, would like to enjoy their summer. Please, for their sake and ours, have a bit of heart and lay off before making threads saying we do not do our jobs. I can speak for all of us at Battlescape that it truly hurts when we see a Player is unhappy because they claim we are not doing our duties. We are doing them to the best of our abilities.
I would also like to throw out that you as players are doing something to have your accounts constantly being hacked. I don't know if you're giving out your passwords, using them elsewhere, clicking links where they claim they will give you items. I don't care! It needs to stop, and we need to see some sort of accountaiblity. Never, in a report do I see "I made a mistake as a player and I clicked a link that I should not have. They were advertising free Battlescape items, although I know that's against the rules. I clicked it anyways, and they now have my account." This alone, would make me help you players quicker, as it shows that you're not trying to pass the blame!
I know it's stressful to be hacked and it's boring waiting for an appeal but you must be more patient and be a bit more considerate. We do care, and we are doing our best!
